Vocational training: Sri Lanka to design framework
Education level to be brought to international standards and technical education would also spread in the country.

The Sri Lankan government has agreed to design a National Vocational and Technical Qualification Framework (NVTQF) to give a boost to technical education in the region, stated National Vocational and Technical Education Commission (NAVTEC) Executive Director Tariq Shafi.
At a discussion forum titled “Development and implementation of NVTQF” here on Monday, he said the education level would be brought to international standards and technical education would also spread in the country. He said that just as in all the developed countries where NVTQF has been functioning to reduce unemployment, Pakistani students can also avail of opportunities to get foreign education though the framework.
