"Muk muka [political compromise] in the Centre and a government made on parchi [recommendations] in Punjab are being labelled as change," said Chandio in Hyderabad on Sunday.
Referring to the selection of Usman Buzdar and Pervez Elahi as the Punjab chief minister and Punjab Assembly speaker respectively, the PPP leader asked what sort of majority the PTI claimed if it could not get suitable candidates for the two slots. "Both the CM and speaker in Punjab have not come with the help of votes but through parchi," he argued.

Chandio criticised Prime Minister Imran Khan for inducting supporters of former president Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf in his cabinet. "The law minister [Farogh Nasim] is Musharraf's lawyer in the high treason case."
Chandio expressed his apprehension that Khan's compromise-based government was working on the agenda of overriding the 18th Amendment and provincial autonomy. He advised the federal government to stop pondering over such a plan as it would result in resistance and adverse political consequences.
