Says interim govt has made great progress despite limited mandate

“We believe patients should be given quality healthcare facilities in hospitals. To this end, relevant staff will have to work proactively.
CM approves additional funds of Rs74.4m
In a statement on Friday, the chief minister said access to the latest healthcare facilities is the fundamental right of the people. “It is the only way to establish a healthy society.”
He added that was the reason the caretaker government continued to provide necessary resources, on a priority basis, for the early completion of ongoing healthcare schemes.
He said the completion process had been expedited so that the people could be facilitated.
The CM said providing resources for better healthcare facilities to the general public was the responsibility of every government. “All line departments will have to move forward by working efficiently so that qualitative and modern medical facilities can be provided to patients. There is nothing more important than facilitating the ailing humanity,” he added.
He said that an amount of more than Rs150 million had been released for the treatment of deserving patients. Dr Askari stated the best healthcare facilities were provided to the people despite the caretaker setup’s limited mandate.
The CM continued that instructions had been issued to concerned officials and government departments to take the necessary precautionary measures to ensure people remain safe from the Congo virus during Eidul Azha.
“Every possible step should be taken, on an emergency basis, to save the people from Congo virus,” he said. He urged authorities to look into all possibilities to avoid its spread and especially screen cattle markets.
