Islamabad United clinched Australian Football League Jashan-i-Azadi Football Cup title at Eleven Stars Cricket Ground

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad United clinched Australian Football League (AFL) Jashan-i-Azadi Football Cup title at Eleven Stars Cricket Ground, organised by Australian Football League Pakistan. Three matches were played in connection with the tournament. The first match was played between Islamabad United and Gujranwala Bulldogs. Islamabad United defeated Gujranwala Bulldogs by 40-15. In the second match, Islamabad United and Rawalpindi Queens women teams ended in a 1-1 draw. The third match was played between Janoon Orange and Janoon Blues under-15 teams. Janoon Orange beat Janoon Blues by 18-7.  AFL President Tariq Mehmood and PSB Deputy Director (Academic) Shahid Islam gave away trophies and certificates to the players. AFL SVP Raja Nazeem, VP Raja Nadeem, Secretary General Chaudhry Zulfiqar Ali were also present on the occasion.
