“The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and other ongoing projects in the province will remove the sense of deprivation among the people and bring prosperity in the region,” he said. “Balochistan is rich in natural resources, which are needed to be explored and utilised for the welfare of its people.”
The chief minister said it was a matter of “great pleasure” that democracy was taking roots as democratic institutions were strengthening, which according to him, “is the only way for the country to make progress”.
He said the Mastung suicide attack and Quetta bombing were aimed at disrupting the general election in Balochistan. However, the people foiled the nefarious designs of the terrorists by casting their votes on July 25 and they had now great expectations from the new government, which would hopefully address their problems, he added.
