Loadshedding continues:

As temperatures rise across Pakistan, increased and unscheduled loadshedding in southern Punjab and interior Sindh is disrupting citizen's daily routines.

Despite a 200 megawatt reduction in power shortfall, 10-12 hours of loadshedding is being experienced in Sukkur, Jacobabad and Larkana as well as other cities. Electricity shortfall currently stands at 480 megawatts while demand is at 1500 megawatts.

In southern Punjab, loadshedding has increased to 16 hours in cities, and 18 hours in rural areas.

People are taking to the streets in protest, while Mepco officials are claiming outages are restricted to eight hours in cities and 12 in rural areas.
