Actor Athiya Shetty recently shared a childhood picture of herself with father Sunil Shetty, on the occasion of his birthday. Taking to Instagram, the Mubarakan star captioned the post with an emotional message, “Happy birthday Papa. Thank you for always being so patient with me, keeping the faith when I forget to and never letting go of my hand."

She continued, "I hope to make you proud every single day. I love you. With a heart like yours, you deserve all the happiness the world has to offer.”

On said Instagram post, Canadian rapper Drake surprisingly left a comment. It's surprising because not many know of the friendship between Athiya and the Hotline Bling singer. To Drake's "Legend" comment on the picture, the Hero actor responded with, "hahaha" followed by a blue heart, reported Filmfare.

Making light of the situation, Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan, who is close friends with Athiya, humourously commented on the same post stating, "Athiya, who knew you were kiki". Noticing Varun's message, Drake also then posted a comical response, "Titi do you love me? (Mubarakan Remix)". After this exchange, the One Dance singer started following Varun on Instagram.

A source close to Athiya revealed how she and Drake became friends. “Athiya was in London recently for a trip. She was out with friends and Drake spotted her at a club. He saw her, thought she was pretty. After that, he just added her on Instagram and got in touch with her. There is nothing more to this, this is exactly what happened.”
