NAB chief vows to make Pakistan corruption free
Also announces advanced monitoring systems at all branches

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal has said the bureau's anti-corruption strategy has proven excellent and will continue its success in the future.
The NAB chief made these remarks while chairing a meeting on Friday to review the progress on implementation of the decision and measures taken to further improve the performance and efficiency of the anti-corruption watchdog.
“We are determined to make Pakistan corruption free as it’s our national duty”, said Iqbal adding that NAB’s “Accountability for All” strategy has proven effective and garnered fruitful results.
NAB: ‘Complaints will be handled properly’
He further said NAB’s investigation officers strictly follow laws, SOPs and code of conduct in conduct of complaint verification, inquiries and investigations on merit. The NAB chairman also directed officers to conduct complaint verification, inquiries and investigation within the stipulated time frame otherwise law will take its own course of action against the diligent.
He also exclaimed that with improved infrastructure and rationalised workload, the bureau prescribed efficient, effective and expeditious disposal of white collar crimes cases, putting a maximum limit of 10 months which is a record as compared to other anti-corruption organisations.

The NAB chief further informed the bureau has established its own indigenous and effective Monitoring and Evaluation System (MES), catering to the needs of all concerned queries and having salient features of maintenance of data at each stage including complaint entry, verification, inquiry, investigation and prosecution.
He also announced the MES system has been introduced in the NAB headquarter as well as all regional bureaus to monitor real time performance after successful completion of a pilot project at NAB Rawalpindi.
