Family Tortured: Man, wife and mother-in-law beaten by rivals

The accused abducted the family and stole cash and gold ornaments.

A man and his family were allegedly tortured with the help of a police official on Saturday. According to police, Rahwali resident Naveed Iqbal, his wife and mother were assaulted and kidnapped by their rivals over a marriage proposal.


Naveed, is now a British citizen and said that a police official was also involved in kidnapping him.  Iqbal addressed a press conference on Saturday with his wife Millie Loy and mother-in-law Sherlyn.

He said that they had a clash with Farhan, Farrukh and Waheed over sending their sister to Britain.

The accused, with the help of their uncle ASI Salman abducted the family and stole cash and gold ornaments.

“They kept us in a room and tortured us with knives,” he said. Iqbal said that his family was released after the UK embassy got involved in the matter. Sherlyn and Millie Loy have demanded that the Pakistan government provide them with security and take action against the accused.
