FAISALABAD: A seven-year-old differently-abled girl was allegedly sexually assaulted in Bachiana Village in Jaranwala police precincts, police told Express News on Wednesday.

A police official said that S*, a resident of Chak No 625-GB, was playing in the bazaar when 15-year-old Ataullah grabbed her and took the girl to a nearby house. He added the accused allegedly raped her and later fled the scene when the victim raised a hue and cry. The girl was shifted to a hospital for medical examination. The police said that a case had been registered against the accused and raids were being conducted to arrest him.

Earlier, on August 7, a girl was sexually assaulted by a school owner in Sialkot’s Sabz Pir area.  Police said that N*, a resident of Mandiala area and a student of grade 5, was allegedly raped by Sajjad who owns a private school in the vicinity. The accused committed the offence when other schoolchildren had left and the victim was alone in the premises.
