QUETTA: Four Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan officials were killed and four others injured in a road accident near the Pak-Iran border on Tuesday.

The incident took place in Washuk District when an FC vehicle overturned, resulting in death of four FC personnel on the spot.

The injured were taken to the combined military hospital (CMH) Khuzdar with their condition said to be critical.

According to reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle after one of the tyres burst, consequently it turned over.

Six security personnel martyred in Awaran rocket attack

On July 3, at least six security personnel were martyred and two others injured in a rocket attack by unidentified armed men in Awaran district.

Official sources told The Express Tribune that a bomb disposal team
was searching the Kure area, located 30 kilometres away from Tehsil Mashkay area of Awaran, when unidentified armed men fired a rocket from the nearby mountains that landed and exploded near the team.

As result of the explosion, six security personnel died on the spot and two others sustained injuries. Security forces rushed to the
site of the attack and threw a cordon around the area.
