Environment: Young citizens get involved in keeping the capital clean

CDA to involve school children in anti-litter campaign.

ISLAMABAD:

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) will involve school children in its recently launched anti-litter drive. Chairman CDA Imtiaz Inayat Elahi said while addressing the 24th Investiture Ceremony of the Students Council at CDA Model School that children are our future role models and the catalyst for change.

He reminded the audience of the recent letter he wrote addressing the residents of the city that sought their participation in maintaining the cleaniless of the federal capital. He said he would also write to all educational institutions for making the campaign a success.

He stressed on the maintenance of the capital’s beauty and requested the students to actively contribute towards keeping the environment clean. On a sidenote, he advised the students to commit to their studies and perform their duties vigilantly.

The newly elected student’s council of CDA Model School took an oath on this occasion, while Chairman CDA Elahi administered it. Arfa Irfan was elected as the president of the Students Council while Nawal Rashid was elected as general Secretary.
