Formula one: Hamilton accuses Rossos of blocking
“They let Vettel pass and then they held me up,” said the 2008 world champion.
MONTE CARLO:
McLaren ace Lewis Hamilton racked up the tension ahead of tomorrow’s Monaco Grand Prix with a thinly-veiled suggestion of collusion between Red Bull team and sister outfit Toro Rosso. Hamilton made clear he believed that Toro Rosso men Sebastien Buemi and Jaime Alguersuari had blocked him deliberately at the Circuit de Catalunya, while allowing Vettel through easily. “They let Vettel pass and then they held me up,” said the 2008 world champion. “If that continues then I think some penalties should be handed out.” However, his comments were rebuffed by team boss Christian Horner who stressed that the two Red Bull-owned teams are run independently.
