Sonali Bendre's health is now stable, confirms husband

Singer Ali Zafar sent his best wishes to the couple

In early July, Bollywood actor Sonali Bendre took to Twitter and shared that she was diagnosed with high-grade cancer. She added that the best way to deal with it was to seek immediate treatment and taking the battle head-on instead of being heartbroken.

Sonali has been receiving medical care in New York since then. On Thursday evening, the star's film-maker husband Goldie Behl tweeted, "Thank you all for the love and support for Sonali. She is stable and following her treatment without any complications. This is a long journey but we have begun positively."

Singer Ali Zafar was quick to reply to Goldie's post. He wrote, "You guys are exceptional human beings. She will fight and be back very soon. Much love!"

Earlier, the 43-year-old actor had stated, "Each day comes with its own challenges and victories and so for now, I’m taking this one day at a time. The only thing I’m trying to be consistent about is maintaining a positive outlook. #SwitchOnTheSunshine - it’s my way of dealing with this. Sharing my journey is also part of this process. I can only hope it reminds you that all is not lost and that someone, somewhere understands what you’re going through."
