Brace yourself for the finale of Nestlé Nesfruta Funkaar
All those Pakistanis who have been hooked to the country’s first multi-dimensional talent hunt show-Nestlé Nesfruta Funkaar- would love to get an inside scoop from the hosts. But given the high level of competitiveness, even Bushra Ansari and Vasay Chaudry cannot decide who will bag the coveted title of Funkaar-e-Aala from the remaining five contestants.
Although each one of the 14 contestants who were initially shortlisted displayed immense talent, these five stars have carved a niche for themselves in our hearts over the past four episodes. Ritika made her gurus Ustaad Raees Khaan Sahab and Karam Abbass proud with her stellar sitar performance in the past two episodes. Not only is she from a minority community, she has chosen to master the one instrument that many females avoid because it demands a great deal of commitment and rigour.
Apart from Ritika, other candidates have painted inspiring vignettes of dedication and struggle. The judges and audience were captivated by Shahid’s daring aerial performances. Being a wild card entry, Shahid has upped his game in every episode in a relentless venture to woo the judges. Ali Shahbaz’s voice moved Bushra Ansari so much that she gave him a standing ovation. He has been in a tough competition with Qadeer who got a standing ovation from both Bushra Ansari and Vasay Chaudry. Sikander and Raina kept the audience on the edges of their seats as they owned the dance floor with their seamless movements.
Breaking through the mundane clutter of the morning shows that promote stereotypes and ‘inaam’ distribution shows that encourage contestants to humiliate themselves for prizes, Nestlé Nesfruta Funkaar has added a much needed dimension to our entertainment industry.
Which Funkaar are you rooting for? Regardless of who wins, we are sure even you want Nestlé to launch Nestlé Nesfruta Funkaar Season 2 really soon.
