WhatsApp has introduced a group video call feature to the delight of many users.

“Group calls are always end-to-end encrypted, and we've designed calling to work reliably around the world in different network conditions,” said Facebook-owned WhatsApp in a blog post.

After previously making changes to the group chat feature, which enabled users to make the group silent and allowed the group creator to send messages and not other members, users can now also leave the group permanently to avoid being added back. The admin of the group can also no longer be removed from the group they created.

You can make a group call with up to four people and all one has to do is start a video or voice call with one user and then tap the “add participant” button in the top right corner to add more contacts to the call.

The feature is to roll out for iOS and Android versions of the app.
