Space technology: IST hosts space summer school

Institute of space technology's STEP program reaches over 110 students from nine schools

ISLAMABAD:
A two-week long Space Summer School was inaugurated on Tuesday at Institute of Space Technology (IST), under the theme of Space Technology Education and Popularisation (STEP), with the participation of over 110 students from nine schools. Space Summer School (SSS) is based on covering more than 50 interactive sessions in 10 exploration tracks for students in two levels as abecedarian and virtuoso.

It will have a canvas of space themed activities, interactive lectures, hands on workshops, space career counselling, Dr Abdus Salam space contest, space creative writing space creative designing, space creative arts, webinars, seminars and astronomy night.


It was also emphasised that Space Summer School is a significant milestone towards the creation of Pakistan Space programme.
