Rugby: Pakistan hire Kiwi coach

PRU President Fawzi Khawja said that the team needed an expert coach desperately.

LAHORE:
Pakistan Rugby Union (PRU) has roped in Mike Pirrit from New Zealand as coach of the national team. Pakistan will be facing a difficult assignment next month when they participate in a five-nation tournament in Indonesia. PRU President Fawzi Khawja said that the team needed an expert coach desperately.  “With next month’s event looming we had to bring an expert coach, which we need urgently,” he said. “We were considering various names for the role but found Pirrit the best option. We have a short-term contract with him and he’ll stay with us until the end of the tournament.”
