Two people axed to death over alleged extra-marital affair in Naushero Feroze
Six suspects remanded to police custody

A father of five children and a mother of three children were axed to death in Naushero Feroze district Thursday night. The police said the victims, 35-year-old Zakia Jamali and Sajjad Aarain, were killed separately in Bairaki village.
"The people from the Jamali community dragged my brother out of our home in front of the family and all the locals. He was taken out and savagely axed to death," alleged Muhammad Aslam Arain, Sajjad's brother, while talking to the media. Earlier, Zakia was killed in her home in a similar manner.
The victims bodies were later placed together on a road and the killers alleged that the two had an extra marital affair. Sajjad's body was received by his brother but Zakia's family refused to receive her body which was shifted to the morgue.
Uncle, cousins 'kill girl for honour'
Muhammad Aslam claimed that his family is locked in a land dispute with the Jamali family, adding that the murders are part of the Jamali family's efforts to occupy land. Darya Khan Mari police SHO Nadir Ali Bhatti told the media that the statements of the families and local residents were recorded.
He said that 10 persons, including the main suspect, were arrested. On Friday, the police registered an FIR on complaint of Akram Arain, brother, nominating nine suspects under Sections 302, 311, 364, 147, 148 and 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Ameer Ali Jamali, Mushtaq Ali Jamali and four others were produced before the judicial magistrate on Friday and were remanded to police custody.
In another incident in Naushero Feroze district, a man allegedly strangled his wife to death. The victim, 26-year-old Haseen alias Shahzadi, was a mother of three children. The police have arrested her husband, Iftikhar Ali.
