Crime Investigation Department: AEC seize hit-list from arrested ST men
Accused confessed to killing at least eight MQM men, including a former union council nazim.
KARACHI:
The Crime Investigation Department’s Anti-Extremism Cell (AEC) has claimed that it has seized a hit-list of political and religious leaders from four Sunni Tehreek (ST) activists, who were arrested during snap checking by the Solider Bazaar police on May 18.
AEC Chief SSP Chaudhry Aslam Khan said that the accused confessed to killing at least eight Muttahida Qaumi Movement men, including a former union council nazim, Hanif, in Nanakwara and a peshimam, Irshadullah, who was associated with the banned Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan.
“The hit-list we found includes their political rivals and religious leaders,” said Khan. The weapons seized from the suspects included one hand grenade, one Kalashnikov, one rifle, three TT pistols and one revolver.
