Says shortage of doctors would be met at health centres

MULTAN:
The district government has started the recruitment of doctors for rural health centres and hospitals.

The interview panel led by deputy commissioner Mudassir Riaz Malik interviewed doctors on Saturday. The DC said that approval for the recruitment would be taken from the Election Commission of Pakistan after selecting qualified doctors.

He said that shortage of doctors would be met at health centres. He said that emergency staff and medicines were available at all basic health centres round the clock.

Special remunerations would be offered to doctors deputed at far flung areas. The interview panel, including health department experts took interview of overs 500 doctors at circuit house. Chief Executive Officer Health Dr Shahid Bukhari was also present.
