PML-N leaders claim parliamentary board formed on favouritism
Appeal to Shehbaz Sharif to reconsider his decision of the tickets awarded to candidates
QUETTA:
The leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Balochistan chapter have refused to accept the decisions of the parliamentary board constituted by the party for the award of tickets to candidates for the National Assembly and the provincial assembly seats, saying people were included on the basis of favouritism.
PML-N leaders Gohar Khan Mengal, Naseemullah Khan Achakzai, Alhaj Khudadad Khan Tareen, Mirza Shamshad, Ghulam Farooq Mandzai and Muhammad Azeem Butt stated this during a joint news conference at the Quetta Press Club on Monday.

They said, “The performance of the six-member committee is zero, which will affect the party and the upcoming elections.”
They further said that apart from this “the decisions of the fictitious provincial parliamentary board have put the party in a tight spot throughout Balochistan”.
“The differences within the parliamentary board members are also creating divisions in the party ranks,” they said, adding that neither were the candidates called for interviews nor were consultations held.

They appealed to PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif to reconsider his decision of the tickets awarded to candidates within 24 hours, otherwise they would take a decision themselves which would be detrimental for the party.
They said that their decision might also include resigning from the party.
