Drive to boycott Murree as holiday spot

Inflation in the city remains on the rise as reported during the present tourism season

ISLAMABAD: Despite on-going social media campaign ‘Boycott Murree,’ inflation in the city remains on the rise as reported during the present tourism season. The social media campaign was launched recently to get tourists to stop visiting due to complaints of the high rates charged by its hotels and occurrences where transporters have misbehaved with the tourists. About 10 to 15 million tourists visit Murree each year. Tourists complaint about the rise in prices, including the rent of hotels, the cost of meals and the noticeable price hike in shopping accessories.
