Calamity: 2 killed, 25 injured in storm
Windstorm damaged standing crops, uprooted trees and destroyed electricity poles.
PAKPATTAN:
Two people were killed and over two dozen people were injured in a windstorm which also damaged standing crops, uprooted trees and destroyed electricity poles on Saturday evening.
According to police officials, Safia Bibi, 45, wife of Ghulam Muhammad Dhudi, was killed when a wall fell on her.
Meanwhile, Rehana Bibi, 15, of Mohalla Khanpura died when an electricity wire fell on her. Nearly 25 people were injured during the storm and hundreds of trees were uprooted. District officials are assessing the damages.
