Under the table: Cop arrested for demanding bribe

Citizen alleges that ASI demanded Rs12,000 from him to file his case.

FAISALABAD: An ASI of Balochni police station was sent behind bars for taking a bribe. A citizen of Chak No99-RB Pakka Jandiyala submitted an application to the Anti Corruption Establishment (ACE) alleging that ASI Bashir Ahmad demanded Rs12,000 from him to file his case. On the complaint, Circle Officer Anti Corruption Muhammad Azeem Warriach conducted a raid and arrested the ASI.
