The officials said that the construction and reconditioning work on 510 kilometres of major and inter-districts roads have been completed with the cost of Rs10.5 billion within the specified time period.

The development projects in Housing Sector have also been completed at a cost of around Rs1.80 billion while the Department of Local Government and Rural Development has spent Rs2 billion on different projects.
Moreover, Rs1.68 billion was spent on the completion of electricity generation-related projects while Rs1.16 billion was spent in the education sector.
The officials said that Rs1 billion was spent on Agriculture related projects, Rs490 million on projects in Industries and Commerce and Rs160 million were spent on the projects relating to tourism.
President Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Sardar Masood Khan has called on Federal Minister for Finance Dr Shamshad Akhtar on Thursday and discussed issues related to the infrastructure development of the Muzaffarabad and Neelum campuses of the AJK University, Muzaffarabad.
Akhtar assured the president that the interim government would be supportive of the ongoing projects and proposals in regard to the infrastructure development of the public sector universities in AJK.

President Masood Khan said that the development budget for Azad Kashmir has increased in the past year and was now being utilized for the economic development of the state and welfare of the people.
Dr Shamshad Akhtar said that the interim government was taking all necessary measures to ensure the macroeconomic stability of Pakistan and keep the economy on track for growth and development.
