Removing official: IHC summons CDA chief

IHC heard a case on development projects in the capital on Wednesday

ISLAMABAD: Expressing its displeasure over the removal of a key official, the high court on Wednesday directed the head of the civic body to appear before it tomorrow and explain the move.

Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui of the Islamabad High Court (IHC), while hearing a case on development projects in the capital on Wednesday was told that Capital Development Authority (CDA) Enforcement Wing Director Ishrat Taj Warsi had been transferred to the post of Enforcement Deputy Director General.

Justice Siddiqui expressed his displeasure at the move and summoned the CDA chairman. Why was an officer removed from his post who was removing encroachments from the city, Justice Siddiqui remarked .
