Caretaker Prime Minister Nasirul Mulk on Wednesday chaired a high-level meeting on law and order and the arrangements being made for ensuring free, fair and peaceful elections in Karachi.
The meeting was attended by Corps Commander Shahid Baig Mirza, home secretary of Sindh, and the inspector general among others. PM Mulk also visited Mazar-e-Quaid today to pay homage and reverence to the founder of Pakistan.
The PM also met with the chief minister and governor of the province.
After almost two weeks since the caretaker governments took charge at the centre and in the four provinces, the majority of them have not met a legal requirement of declaring their assets.

Only the caretaker prime minister, Punjab chief minister and two caretaker ministers have filed the statement of assets with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
Section 230 of the Elections Act, 2017 stipulates “caretakers must submit statements of their assets and liabilities, and those of their spouses and children within three days of taking oath”. The legal requirement has to be met by the caretaker prime minister, chief ministers and their cabinet members.
The ECP official said the commission is likely to consider the matter today (Wednesday) and admonish those who have not declared their asset details.
