The task force would be headed by the chief minister himself and would comprise two ministers and the additional chief secretary of the federally administered tribal areas (Fata). It will focus on the comprehension of problems, the identification of legal anomalies emerging out of the merger and finding a suitable solution for the smooth transition in the backdrop of the merger.

The mainstreaming of the tribal areas is the ultimate goal of the committee as it also tackles the financial and administrative issues while building the confidence of the tribes, read a statement issued by the chief minister house after the meeting.
