Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) leader Gohram Bugti has said that the returning officer rejected the papers of former home minister Sarfraz Bugti because he tried to conceal his company.
“The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) should keep Bugti’s papers rejected and conduct an inquiry to determine his assets,” said Gohram while addressing a gathering in Dera Bugti on Friday.
The JWP leader said, “People of Dera Bugti have rejected the dummy leadership.”

The PB-10 candidate said, “Bugti and his brother Jan Muhammad Bugti are trying to rig the general elections as they did in 2013.

“The RO in Dera Bugti had rejected Bugti’s nomination papers in a landmark decision for not declaring his assets. Bugti is not a trustworthy public representative and must be disqualified for life.”
Alleging that Jan Muhammad Bugti filed his nomination papers through forgery, Gohram said, “Sarfraz’s brother Jan had pressured the RO and filed his documents through forgery. He must be stopped from contesting general elections.”

He said, “For five years, Bugti and his associates committed immense corruption. Despite people’s requests, he just filled his bank accounts rather than revamping the plight of the people of Dera Bugti.”
He urged the people of Dera Bugti to oust the leadership and elect real representatives, who had served the Bugti tribe for centuries.
“The ECP must ensure the people of Dera Bugti that free and fair elections will be held,” said Gohram. “We will not let anyone rig the people’s mandate.”
