Overcharging: 13 public service vehicles ticketed  

As many as 65 public transport vehicles were checked

ISLAMABAD: The secretary of the Islamabad Transport Authority, Imtiaz Janjua during the course of checking, issued tickets to 13 public service vehicles, plying of long routes, for overcharging passengers ahead of Eidul Fitr. The checking was conducted at the IJP Road. As many as 65 public transport vehicles were checked. Of these, tickets were issued to seven for over-loading passengers. The ICT Administration has directed the transporters to charge the fixed fare, failing which stern action would be taken against the violators.
