'International community must not ignore sacrifices made by Pakistan'

Nawaz meets former British Foreign Secretary David Miliband.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif said on Saturday that the international community must not ignore the tremendous sacrifices rendered by the people of Pakistan.



Talking to former British Foreign Secretary David Miliband in Raiwind, Sharif said complex geo-political, social and economic factors have contributed to a culture of violence, the world over.


Miliband acknowledged the critical role played by Pakistan in the struggle against militancy and terrorism.


The meeting was also attended by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and PML-N leaders Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Ishaq Dar.
