Ramazan Bazaars: People enjoying subsidy on poultry, eggs

Punjab Livestock Department is ensuring availability of poultry and eggs in 35 Ramadan Sasta Bazaars

RAWALPINDI: Punjab Livestock Department with the cooperation of Pakistan Poultry Association is ensuring availability of poultry and eggs in 35 Ramadan Sasta Bazaars of the division on subsidised rates to provide relief to the citizens. Rawalpindi Division Livestock Department Director Dr Shahid Sajjad Asghar said this on Thursday while visiting Ramadan Sasta Bazaars of Rawalpindi to check prices, quality and availability of poultry and eggs. According to Dr Asghar Rs10 per kilogramme subsidy is being provided to the consumers on poultry and Rs5 on per dozen eggs. Meanwhile, ADC Sara Hayat said the district administration has imposed over Rs4.5 million fine on profiteers and lodged 61 FIRs against the rules violators during Ramazan.
