Powered Off: No electricity for 22 hours
FAISALABAD:
Due to a technical fault at the Koh-i-Noor power plant, power remained suspended in several areas of the district for over 22 hours on Thursday. Electricity supply to Peoples Colony No1, Peoples Colony No2, Susan Road and a locality adjacent to Rafhan Mills remained suspended for most of Thursday. A Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) spokesperson said that Fesco was purchasing 9 megawatts electricity from Koh-i-Noor Power Company Limited Faisalabad under an agreement inked in 2007. He said that four feeders of 11-KV capacity each were installed to provide uninterrupted power supply to the localities but there was a technical fault in the feeders and the company had switched them off for repairs.
