ABOTTABAD: The third brother of the Thanda Mera murder case breathed his last on Saturday causing uproar in the family and the community who, refusing to perform his last rites until justice was assured, took the victim’s body in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office and blocked the road.

According to the family of the victims, on Thursday, an ex-cop, Azhar, had opened fire on three brothers, two died on the spot and the third was injured. However, police did not record the statement of the injured and allowed the suspect to escape.

Meanwhile, the third brother also succumbed to his wounds, leaving the distraught family with no option but to protest on the streets. The finally dispersed on the assurance of SP Elite force Ejaz Goga and acting DPO Sonia Shamroz Khan Jadoon.

Protestors were demanding inclusion of antiterrorism clause in the FIR and wanted K-P IGP and DIG Hazara to take the notice of slackness of the Abbottabad police.
