‘Efforts under way to deal flood like situation’

MULTAN: Deputy Commissioner Zahid Sohail on Wednesday said the district administration has started arrangements to deal with flood like situation in the district. During his visit to Head Muhammadwala embankment for inspection, he said that advance arrangements were being made to deal with flood like situation.



He said all flood embankments would be upgraded before the expected flood. All the departments concerned, including army, police, Rescue 1122, irrigation and others have also finalised their preparation to provide maximum relief to masses in emergency like situation, he added.

The DC stated that a summary had been sent to provincial government for detailed study of Head Muhammadwala embankment. He directed the district emergency officers and Rescue 1122 to organise a training session for officials.
