Stray dogs attacks injure 24 people

Doctors said condition of two children was stated to be critical

At least 24 people, including children, were attacked and injured by stray dogs during 24 hours in Rahim Yar Khan, Express News reported. The victims were being treated at different hospitals of the district.

Officials at hospitals told Express News that those who fall prey to dog attacks included seven-year-old Irfan Ali, nine-year-old Saqib Hussain, 12-year-old Samiullah, Haseena Bibi, 40, Rania Mai, 50, 32-year-old Salahuddin, 40-year-old Muhammad Yasin and others.

Culling stray dogs


Doctors said the condition of two children was stated to be critical. However vaccine and medicines were being provided to the victims.

Meanwhile, data collected by this scribe revealed that 50 people have died of stray dog attacks while several were injured during two years in the district. The district administration has failed to control increasing incidents of dog attacks.
