IGP opens police rest house

IGP directs concerned authorities to complete the building

LAHORE: Punjab Inspector General Police Captain (retd) Arif Nawaz Khan laid the foundation stone of police rest house at Qurban Lines Lahore. The IGP directed the authorities concerned to complete the building as early as possible and said provision of accommodation and other facilities for police personnel should be ensured, who visit Lahore to perform their duties and need lodging for a short time. He said provision of accommodation would directly and positively influence the moral and performance of the force. He also directed the officers concerned to ensure effective monitoring and timely completion of all new projects, launched for the welfare of police officers and officials. MD IC3 Ali Amir Malik, DIG Traffic Farooq Mazhar, DIG Telecommunication Shahid Javed along with other officers were also present on the occasion, while AIG Development Ahsan Younas and SSP Telecommunication Dr Abid briefed IG Punjab about construction and master plan of the rest house.
