A civilian was killed by a bullet fired by Indian forces from across the Line of Control (LoC) in Tata Pani Sector of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.

According to local residents and eye-witnesses, a civilian identified as Mango Khan son of Alif Din died after being hit by a bullet on his head.

The witnesses said that the single bullet was fired by the Indian forces without any provocation.

The 55-year-old man was doing household chores near his residence in Darra Sher Khan village of Tata Pani Sector when he was targeted by Indian forces, witnesses said.

Earlier, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi slammed “systematic brutalities, killing of innocent civilians and human rights violations by Indian security forces with impunity”.
