UAE company all set to invest in water sector

ICGTC CEO apprises CM Bizenjo of using modern technology to build water reservoirs

QUETTA: International Climate Global Trading Company (ICGTC) Chief Executive Officer Maxim Lavrov on Thursday expressed willingness to invest in the dilapidated water sector of the province.

The ICGTC CEO showed his interest during a meeting with Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo at the CM House on Thursday.

Ex-CMs grilled on Balochistan water woes

CEO Lavrov briefed the CM regarding development of water reservoirs and storing water through modern technology.

He said, “The company is interested in investing in the water sector and is willing to ink a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Balochistan government.”

On provincial government’s efforts in resolving water issues, CM Bizenjo said, “The provincial government is taking effective measures to resolve the water shortage.”

Most parts of Quetta without water for five months

He said, “There is a need to develop the water sector on modern lines so that the water level in dams can reach its previous position.”

Bizenjo applauded the UAE-based company’s interest in the water sector and assured the delegation that the provincial government would provide full cooperation.
