Chinese embassy, K-P Sports to face-off in football today

Brisk arrangements are being made to hold the first-ever football exhibition match between a team of the Chinese Embassy and a team of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Director General of Sports at the Army Burns Hall Football Ground on Saturday (today).

The ground has been decorated with banners and posters welcoming the visiting team.

The teams for the match have are already been announced which will have the Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani and Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing in the stands.

Chinese embassy team reviews arrangements in Abbottabad

According to organisers, the China Embassy Team will be comprised of Jiang Han, Jiang Qingshi, Sun Kai, Zhang Liang, Qin Wanggen, Wang Yang, Xu Wei,Zhang Dong,Ding Xuelong,Tang Jingfeng,Zhao Xuelong,Mei Jing,Zhang Chengjin,Li De, Hong Yuan,Huan Jie, Zhang Ming and Li Hang,Hile Jiang Han will be the captain of the team.

Former national team member Malik Ejaz Ahmad (SP Police) will be the captain of the host team. Ahmad had worn the national colours for nearly a decade.


Apart from Ahmad, the K-P DG Sports Team will also be comprised of Naeem Beg, Sulaiman Khan, Adil Khan, Sadam, Hamza Shabbir, Saifullah, Shahid, Hafiz Sajjad, Fakhar, Sher Khan, Mujahid and Aftab.

Competition among Chinese companies

The match will be officiated by Saeed Khan, Major Zulfiqar, Khalid Javaid and Niaz Khan. Fayaz Shams, Atif Khan, Wasif Khan and Cheema have been nominated as referees for the match.

Meanwhile, the captains of both the teams also met in Abbottabad.

Han said that their team are enjoying the traditional hospitality of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

He hoped that they put their best foot forward on Saturday and give the fans an entertaining match.
