A technical gaffe by internet giant Google wherein a picture of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi accompanies search results for Jawaharlal Nehru, the nation's first, has stoked a social media storm, Times of India reported.

According to the Indian publication, a list of the nation's prime ministers from online encyclopedia Wikipedia appears with Nehru's name on the top alongside a photo of Modi.

Tweeting a screenshot, the social media in-charge of the Indian National Congress termed the internet giant "full of junk". Scores of other users also took to social media over the error.
