MUZAFFARABAD: Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan on Thursday took serious notice of the murder of a young political activist in the state capital and directed the deputy commissioner and SSP to arrest the culprits involved in the gruesome murder.

He said that Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) is a peaceful region and there is no room for crimes like murder. The prime minister expressed his firm resolve that the perpetrators of the heinous crime will be brought to account and no effort would be spared to provide justice to the victim.

He also directed the deputy commissioner to submit a report on this highly unfortunate incident to PM Secretariat at the earliest and “make sure that law will take its course against the culprits without fear or favour.”

Khan also assured the family of the assassinated youth that culprits involved in the brutal act would be dealt with an iron hand.
