
He was addressing workers of Pakistan Muslim League Azad Kashmir at Bolton in North West of United Kingdom. The prime minister said that a large number of Kashmiris especially those from AJK currently residing in the UK and other countries of Europe can bring Kashmir issue back to UN agenda if they work with courage and determination.
The prime minister urged the international community to help resolve the decades-old Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people and ensure protection of their fundamental rights.
Haider asserted that culprits involved in the gruesome act must not go unpunished as he described what happened to Asifa at Kathua as a crime against humanity.
He added that the Asifa incident should serve as a wakeup call if nothing else has opened the eyes of the international community to the nature of the Indian occupation of Kashmir.
Haider urged the community leaders to spread the account of the plight of Kashmiris in their respective communities so that a narrative could be built against Indian high-handedness to build a global opinion against Indian oppression.
He appreciated the April 18 joint protest in London by different political parties of Kashmir and said that all the leadership was united and there were no differences.
Haider also praised the untiring efforts of the members of UK Parliament of Kashmiri origin especially of Lord Nazir, Afzal Khan for highlighting the plights of the oppressed Kashmiri people within and outside parliament.
