Aiwan-I-Adl: Young Lawyers elect new president

            Mian Yasir Siddique has been elected as the new president of the Young Lawyers Forum (YLF). Siddique bagged 413 votes while his closest opponent Malik Shujat obtained 325 votes. The other contender for the post got 270 votes. The turnout was on the low side with only 1,032 lawyers exercising their right to vote. Tight security measures were put in place at Aiwan-i-Adl on polling day and no outsiders were allowed to enter. Wild celebrations erupted among the supporters of the winner as soon as the election board announced the official results. They danced to drum beats, hugged each other and distributed sweets amongst each other.
