‘Use of technology to revolutionise health sector’

Manufacturers of medical equipment are also participating in the exhibition

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Primary and Secondary Health Khawaja Imran Nazir has said international exhibitions on health sector would help introduce modern trends and use of new technology in the health sector would be promoted.

He expressed these views while inaugurating the 2nd day of a three-da Health Asia Exhibition at Expo Centre Johar Town on Wednesday.

On this occasion, the senior office-bearers of Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association Khawaja Shahzeb Akram and other office-bearers and owners of pharma industry were present.

Nazir took a round of the stalls established at the exhibition. As many 390 stalls have been set up in the exhibition by the local and multinational pharmaceutical units as well as the medical equipment, tools and other medical related articles have been put on display in the exhibition from China and Turkey. The manufacturers of medical equipment are also participating in this exhibition.

The health minister expressed interest in the latest medical equipment and the use of information technology. The minister said information technology would be utilised for establishing E-BHUs in Punjab.
