Ranbir Kapoor reveals final release date of 'Sanju'
The biopic was earlier scheduled to hit theatres in 2017
From Ranbir Kapoor's avatar as Sanjay Dutt to the various famous actors playing crucial roles, the Dutt biopic has become one of the most awaited films of the year, reported Filmfare.
Tentatively titled Sanju, the film was earlier scheduled to release in 2017. However, it was postponed and a final date hadn't been set until now.
In recent development, the male lead himself has announced that the film will hit screens on June 29, 2018.
He further added that the first teaser will be released on April 24. The trailer will be out on May 8 as Sanjay made his debut on the same date in 1981 with Rocky.
Working with Rajkumar Hirani, Ranbir shared his experience. He said, "I can't imagine how much can a man go through hell in one life. He has paid for his deeds and made many mistakes. While filming there were times when I would observe him a lot but then I started to distance myself."
The 35-year-old actor also mentioned that people appreciated his Sanjay Dutt look and he hopes that everyone likes the film as the role that he portrays is "not an act."
