LAHORE: Allama Ashraf Asif Jalali led Tehrik Labaik Ya Rasool Allah (TLYR) has it will participate in General Election 2018 with full zeal and fervor in order to promote Islamisation in the country.

Addressing the Nizam-e-Mustafa conference at Minare-e-Pakistan on Saturday, Allama Ashraf Asif Jalali further said people had participated in the conference in large numbers.

Hence, it was proven that people in the country want Islamic jurisprudence. “We are getting lessons from Medina and the finality of prophethood,” he added.

He said the government was hatching conspiracies against Khatam-e-Nabuwat clauses which were unacceptable. “We will continue our movement until the real culprits behind the amendment of the bill are exposed,” he added.

“We just want the government to reveal the name of the masterminds who hatched this conspiracy,” he stressed.

The tehreek itself has fallen victim to internal rifts when Maulana Ashraf Asif Jalali and head of the party Maulana Khadim Rizvi indulged in a war of words in a late night talk show on a private TV channel. Rizvi dissociated himself from the protest staged on Mall road last year. In response, Jalali accused the former of assuming the role of chairman by making a ‘new’ shura which backed him without consulting with the founding members.

In the show, Jalali also accused Rizvi of hijacking the movement and questioned him over the dead bodies of protesters. Meanwhile, Rizvi casually distanced himself from the further demands and protests announced by the patron-in-chief.
