LAHORE:
Amid threats of an attack on Imran Khan, police claimed to have ensured foolproof security arrangements during the membership drive of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in different parts of Lahore.

Lahore Police also issued a letter to Imran Khan. Addressing the PTI leader, the letter read: “Imran Khan is a national leader. He is not only the asset for PTI but also for the country. The threat alerts about an attack on him have already been received which were conveyed to you and a security advisory was also issued.”

The letter further read that there was a danger of an attack in Lahore. Therefore, it was suggested that events by PTI be conducted inside closed venues so that foolproof security arrangement could be ensured.
