The event was organised by the Ministry of National Health Services Regulations and Coordination (NHSRC) to honour Dr Afghani who has been instrumental in establishing contributions to set regulatory tools as per international standards.
Federal Minister for NHSRC Saira Afzal Tarar acknowledged the fact that a new organisation is always very tough job to set basis. Dr Afghani set very high standard of personal working and developed regulatory reforms of international levels, bringing Pakistan regulatory framework at par with international best practices, besides completing all long due pending cases.

Expressing his gratitude Dr Afghani thanked Tarar for her great support, and cooperation with the establishment and upgradation of Drap and its regulatory reforms and making it an efficient and highly professional result-oriented public focused organisation.
He thanked International organisations like WHO, USP-PQM and USAID for their support in capacity building and automation.
